What it will never do
This is the part most apps put in a terms page. We put it on the front, because it is the reason to trust the rest.
It will not diagnose
Not you, not your child. It says when something needs a clinician and stops.
It will not give a dose
No prescription doses, and never “stop” or “change” a medicine a doctor prescribed.
It will not tell you to wait
When something needs to be seen, it says so. That is the app working, not the app being unhelpful.
It will not invent a product
Zero of the 61 product entries carry an image, because there is no licensed feed yet. A grey tile is honest; a fake photo is not.
In India, Tenderfoot shows no infant formula or feeding bottles at all. That is the Infant Milk Substitutes Act 1992, and it is enforced in four separate places in the code, failing closed if your country cannot be determined.
Questions
Is Tenderfoot free?
Yes. There are no paid plans, no card, and no trial that ends. If that changes we will say so in advance and ask before charging an existing account.
Is the guidance written or checked by a doctor?
Not yet, and we say so on the signup screen before you accept anything. The content was drafted from mainstream maternal and child health sources and is marked unreviewed. We are building a clinical review process and will name the paediatricians once they are in place. Until then, treat it as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not a replacement for one.
Is it for the mother or the father?
Both, in one household. Every competing app is built for the mother and gives the father a read-only view. Tenderfoot gives each parent their own sign-in and their own list, and both of you see both lists.
What period does it cover?
From four weeks pregnant to the child’s fourth birthday — 245 weeks in one continuous timeline, with no handover between a pregnancy app and a baby app.
Which countries does it support?
India first. The United Arab Emirates, the United States and the United Kingdom follow. Vaccine schedules are per country and each names its issuing authority.
